Media Montage Podcast 57: Snake Eater (1989)

Lorenzo Lamas IS Soldier Kelly in Snake Eater!

One man versus a rapey band of hillybilly killers. Set in a vague, ill-defined swampy area, this 1989 movie pays painful homage to Lethal Weapon, Rambo, Miami Vice, Death Wish, Chuck Norris, and other 80s action films.

It also managed to spawn 2 sequels, that, against our better judgment, we agreed to revisit in the future. We take a look at what we loved and hated about this movie (mostly hated).

See if Bruce and Larry survive their encounter with Snake Eater. . . in episode 57 of the Media Montage Podcast!

Media Montage Podcast 56: The Ages of Comics - Gold, Silver, Bronze and Beyond

Gold! Silver! Bronze! No, not the Olympics, but rather the Ages of Comics…This week Bruce and Larry take a look at, and try to make sense of the historical periods of comic books.

When do these Ages begin and end? What criteria should be used to explore a break from one Age to another? Should we use the term Copper, Dark, Obsidian or something else for some of the more recent periods?

We try to make sense of it all in Episode 56 of the Media Montage Podcast!
