Media Montage Podcast 99 - Marvel 2099

What do we do for a 99th episode?

We visit the retro-future of Marvel's 2099 line of comics. We go back to 1992 as Marvel traveled to the future with a new Spider-Man, a new Doom, a new Punisher, and a new Hulk. We look at the cyberpunk future of the Marvel Universe in the year 2099.

How did the 2099 line reflect the era of early the 1990s comics world in every conceivable way? Were the comics actually any good? What cause the end of 2099 as an imprint?

Claws, foil covers, and grim and gritty stories in Episode 99 of the Media Montage Podcast!

Media Montage Podcast 71: NIck Fury Agent of SHIELD (1998)

Agents of SHIELD Season 2 will be premiering soon so Larry and Bruce travel back in time to visit the first live action SHIELD movie, 1998’s Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD starring none other than the Hoff!

David Hasselhoff and Lisa Rinna star in this made for TV movie that served as a failed pilot for a potential series.  High camp, a questionable plot by the villains, and cigars that get chewed as much as the scenery.

This all leads to a discussion about the evolution of Marvel’s live action from the 70s to today in Episode 71 of the Media Montage Podcast!
